Legendary comic artist and writer Mike Grell is appearing at St. Pete Comic Con on January 7-8, 2023 at the Coliseum, after being postponed for a year due to Covid related concerns. The two-day, multi-genre comic convention features comics, anime, science fiction and fantasy talent, and voice actors along with a guest roster of Florida’s top cosplayers.
Grell is at St. Pete Comic Con both days and is available for photographs and autographs (prices announced at the convention).

Green Arrow The Longbow Hunters
DC’s Green Arrow The Longbow Hunters is a 1987 graphic novel miniseries written and drawn by Grell. The masterpiece inspired the highly popular Arrow TV series which ran for eight seasons on the CW Network. Green Arrow The Longbow Hunters is widely considered one of the most important pieces of work of the character.

Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes
Grell’s work on DC’s Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes, which started in 1973, is considered the high point of the comic that’s had a loyal following throughout the years, but never broke through to blockbuster status.
The series, which began in 1958, is about a team of superheroes from various planets in the universe, each with a power from their planet of origin. Superboy travels in time from Smallville to future Metropolis to lead his superhero team.

The Warlord is an epic tale of American pilot Travis Morgan, who accidentally landed in the magical world of Skartaris at the center of the world. Grell created the comic series in 1976. He served as both writer and artist on the series during its most popular time period.
