cosplay is not consent

Cosplay is an expression of creativity, and while costumes may be admired, it is important to remember that cosplayers—like all attendees—deserve personal space and respect. Here are the key points of our Cosplay is NOT Consent policy:

  • Always ask for permission before taking photos or touching a cosplayer’s costume, props, or person.
  • Harassment, inappropriate comments, or unwanted physical contact will not be tolerated.
  • If a cosplayer declines a request, respect their decision without question.
  • Report any behavior that makes you or others uncomfortable to event staff immediately.
